Connected by Purpose
The projects connected to the Gung Ho Social Club may take different forms, but they grow from the same set of ideas: that worthwhile work matters, that people should have a meaningful role in shaping the communities around them, and that encouragement, connection, and shared purpose can move people to action.
Some of these projects are rooted in community engagement. Others grow from youth programs, labor, storytelling, neighborhood history, creative work, or simple acts of gathering people around a table. Together, they form a larger ecosystem shaped by decades of Bob Twomey’s work across communities, organizations, and causes.
Each project has its own identity and purpose, but none of them stands entirely alone. They overlap, inform one another, and reflect the same belief at the heart of Gung Ho: people do their best work when they know what they are contributing to, understand the responsibility they carry, and feel supported by the people around them.
The projects featured here are currently in development, with more to come.
