MEET BOB TWOMEY
Curiosity has a way of leading somewhere.
Bob Twomey has spent more than 30 years asking questions, following facts, talking to people, and figuring out how the pieces fit together. Professionally, that curiosity became a career in investigation. Bob's work has crisscrossed California, beginning in San Francisco, rebuilding SFO, collaborating and contributing to the Department of Industrial Relations, then labor-management organizations, before navigating the State Legislature, and the Department of Consumer Affairs.
But this is only part of the story.
Bob's interests have always traveled farther than a job description could contain them.
History. Community. Labor. Youth development. Sports. Tabletop gaming. Media. Storytelling. Research. Collecting. Teaching.
The stories people carry and the communities they build around the things that matter to them.
At first glance, those pursuits may not appear to belong together. Bob would probably argue that's where things get interesting.
Gung Ho Social Club grew out of that intersection—a place where different interests, people, skills, stories, and ideas can find one another and become something worth doing.

GUNG HO SOCIAL CLUB
Worthwhile work. Shared responsibility. Enthusiastic support.
Gung Ho Social Club is the home that connects Bob's work, projects, interests, and communities.
It isn't built around one subject.
It's built around a way of approaching things.
WORTHWHILE WORK
Do work that matters.
That might mean investigating a difficult question, preserving a piece of history, helping young people discover something they love, creating a community program, telling a story, or simply giving people a reason to gather around a table.
The form can change.
The work should be worth doing.
INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY GUIDED BY SHARED VALUES
Community requires participation.
Each person brings something different to the table—experience, knowledge, curiosity, skill, perspective, effort—but shared values give that individual contribution direction.
Gung Ho makes room for both: individual responsibility and collective purpose.
ENTHUSIASTIC & GENUINE SUPPORT
People do their best work when the people around them actually want them to succeed.
Gung Ho is built around collaboration rather than competition for its own sake—people sharing knowledge, opening doors, encouraging one another, and contributing to something larger than themselves.
Revisiting. Revising. Restoring.
Not everything valuable needs to be invented from scratch.
Sometimes an old story deserves another telling.
A tradition deserves another generation.
An overlooked question deserves another investigation.
An idea deserves to be reconsidered.
A community deserves renewed investment.
Gung Ho creates space to revisit what came before, revise what can be better, and restore what remains worth carrying forward.
SHEA LAWSON ASSOCIATES
Following the facts. Finding the story. Solving the problem.
Shea Lawson Associates brings Bob's decades of investigative experience to independent research, analysis, consulting, and special projects.
Bob has worked in the investigative field for more than 25 years. His professional experience includes work for the California Department of Industrial Relations, the California State Legislature, a nonprofit Labor-Management Committee, San Francisco International Airport, and the California Contractors State License Board.
At CSLB alone, he has conducted more than 700 investigations and prepared more than 250 legal referrals for administrative or criminal prosecution. His experience includes witness interviews, evidence gathering, investigative report writing, courtroom testimony and trial support, complex investigations, and the training and review of other investigators.
That experience shapes the way Shea Lawson Associates approaches a problem:
Start with the question. Find the facts. Follow them wherever they lead.
Research & Analysis
Finding information is one thing.
Understanding what it means—and recognizing the connections between seemingly unrelated pieces—is another.
Independent fact-finding for matters that require experience, judgment, careful documentation, and a willingness to look beyond the obvious answer.
Consulting
An experienced outside perspective for organizations, individuals, and projects that need someone willing to ask better questions before offering answers.
Special Projects
Some assignments don't fit neatly into a service category.
That's often the point.
Shea Lawson Associates makes room for unusual questions, difficult problems, and worthwhile projects that need someone capable of figuring out what comes next.

PACECORECA
Community doesn't happen by accident.
PaceCoreCA—Power Awareness and Community Engagement rooted in Core Values—is the community-centered arm of Gung Ho Social Club, a place for programs, activities, partnerships, and experiences designed to bring people together.
Its work is especially grounded in creating opportunities for young people to participate, learn, explore interests, develop skills, and experience what it means to belong to something larger than themselves.
That may happen through a summer program.
A community event.
Education and training.
Or an idea that begins with a handful of people saying, We should do something with this.
The activity matters.
But so does what happens around it.
Young people learn cooperation by cooperating. They develop confidence by being trusted with responsibility. They discover interests by having opportunities to try things. And communities become stronger when people have places where participation is expected, contribution is valued, and support is genuine.

Youth Programs
Experiences designed around participation, exploration, skill-building, and connection.
Education & Training
Learning experiences grounded in practical knowledge, curiosity, and participation.
Community Initiatives
Projects that connect people around shared interests, local needs, and worthwhile ideas.
COMMUNITY IS SOMETHING WE MAKE.
Interested in a PaceCoreCA program, partnership, or community project?
BISON HERD PRODUCTIONS
Every story needs somewhere to go.
Bison Herd Productions is the storytelling, publishing, and media arm of Gung Ho Social Club.
It is where research can become a story.
Where history can become a conversation.
Where an experience can become a podcast.
Where an idea can become a publication, a live stream, a media project—or something nobody had a name for when it started.
Bison Herd provides a home for original stories and projects across formats, including podcasts, publications, live streaming, media production, and developing projects such as The Shea Lawson Files and Adventures of Shea Lawson.
The subjects may vary.
The curiosity behind them doesn't.
Bison Herd is interested in the stories people overlook, the histories worth preserving, the experiences worth sharing, and the ideas capable of starting a larger conversation.
Podcasts & Conversations
Longer-form conversations with enough room to actually go somewhere.
Publishing & Original Stories
Work that documents, preserves, investigates, entertains, or simply tells a story worth telling.
Live Streaming & Media
Creating ways for audiences to participate in stories and conversations as they happen.
Special Media Projects
Because some ideas refuse to stay inside one format.
HAVE A STORY WORTH TELLING?
Bring Bob the idea.
Let's see where it goes.
TALK WITH BOB

Let’s Talk
Good things often start with a conversation.
You don't need to decide which part of Gung Ho
your idea belongs to before reaching out.
Maybe you need an experienced investigator.
Maybe you're interested in a youth or community program.
Maybe there's a story you've been trying to tell.
Maybe you're considering a collaboration.
Or maybe you've got one of those ideas that doesn't fit neatly anywhere yet.
That's okay.
Tell Bob what you're thinking, what you're working on, or
what you're trying to figure out.
We'll start there.
